Shalla was taken to the OR at 7:00 this morning. With a few tears and kiss we parted. She was very brave this morning and was drawing on all of the strength that was provided from everyone that has passed on their prayers and strength. Thank you to everyone one that called in the last few days. It really meant a lot, even those of you who did not get to speak to anyone live, but left a message. I have to apologize that we were unable to return all calls, it was overwhelming to try and get back to everyone. We will make an effort over the next few days to get back to you.
The staff here has been very clear that it will be several hours before I hear anything. So now it is time to wait. We spent most of the day on Thursday in Rochester. There was a lot of waiting and some good meetings with the doctors. We made it home in time to pick our baby up from school. We got to go to her favorite restaurant, The Train Restaurant, otherwise known as Broadway Pizza. She’ll only go there if there is a buffet. Once again we spoiled her and she got a new ring, bracelet and necklace (it put us out $1.25 in the machines). We had a nice family night and then dropped her off at her aunt’s and Shalla laid with her until she fell asleep.
